“Holy holidays, Batman! The Homeowners Association is back and wrecking havoc in Albuquerque!”

"Bat Signal" Causes Flap In N.W. Albuquerque

A political sign in an Albuquerque neighborhood is drawing criticism from neighbors.

The sign in Northwest Albuquerque shows President George W. Bush's name with a circle around it and a slash running through it.

Some neighbors want it taken down, but the homeowner thinks it's a freedom of speech issue.

The homeowners association in the area said it doesn't agree with the sign but has not fined the homeowner.

Both sides said they are willing to go to court to resolve the matter.

Unless you watch the video you won’t know that this sign is projected onto the front of the home like the Bat signal. They say it’s about 4 feet tall, which is considered a billboard and therefore against the rules.

Never mind that they also have a lighted ‘NOEL’ sign that’s even bigger, which the Homeowners Association has no problem with.

I particularly liked the part where Bush supporters tried to shoot the projector off the side of the house. Nothing celebrates the birth of Jesus like a little gun play...
