Why Santa may be a little late this year...

Hot Dog Stand Sells Reindeer Wiener

The Redhots and Fries food stand in Glenview, Illinois plans to serve up reindeer hotdogs this Christmas season.

Fred Markoff, the owner of the joint, says he will sell them in authentic Anchorage, Alaskan-style - with grilled onions and mustard.

The Redhots reindeer hot dog will bring in a whopping $8 a piece, which includes tax.

It will be available as of this Friday, for the rest of the holiday season.

The hot dog vendor is the first of its kind in Illinois' residential area: Markoff is in a class of his own serving the Chicago suburban community with traditional hot dogs to more fancy ones, like those made of venison and alligator with fresh-cut Belgian fries on the side and dipping sauces too.
