So much news, so little time...

Here's a drive-by of what's going on in the world.

Bush warns Democratic Congress against 'stalemate'...

WARNING: Keep a bucket handy, you’ll need something to vomit in while reading this trifling drivel editorial from our Commander Decider Sacrificer-in-Chief.

From the dept. of GET OVER IT:

Congressman To Use Thomas Jefferson's Copy Of The Koran For Swearing-In

The Washington Post could benefit from a really good panty-unbunching this morning.

From the dept. of HOW CAN WE MISS HIM IF YOU WON'T LET HIM GO?:

White House Won't Condemn Saddam Taunts

In a fit of split-personalities (both of them inbred), the Bush administration sent conflicting signals Wednesday about the taunting and baiting that accompanied Saddam Hussein's execution, with the White House declining to join criticism of the procedure and the State Department and U.S. military raising questions about it.

Bush, too busy watching cartoons, hasn't seen Saddam video

Says it's because he's "focused on the way forward" (left foot, right foot, left foot, right foot...)

US on Saddam:
We woulda hung'em proper-like!

From the dept of GRINS AND GIGGLES:

Rudy Giuliani loses playbook; game called at halftime...

...fact that he's a closet Dem (among other things) comes to light.

FYI, Rudy. We don't want you either!

And finally, from the dept. of THEN WHY DON'T YOU AND YOUR MAN-BOOBS GET OFF YOUR ASS AND DO SOMETHING!?!

Cooking, Cleaning And Washing Helps You Ward Off Breast Cancer

There, that should keep you all entertained while I'm busy warding off a little cancer...

Justin A. Frank, M.D., Author of "Bush on the Couch" Gets to the Heart of the Matter: We Have a Sociopath as President.

Interesting.

Thanks for stoppin' by, Diane. Hope you didn't get any on you!

Alex, of course we have a sociopath for a president, I thought we already established that fact :>

Problem is, everybody knows the house is on fire, but:

A. No one will grab a hose

B. Some are willing to grab a hose, but don’t know where it is

C. Others are willing to grab a hose, know where it is, but don’t know how to turn the water on

D. And the rest just want to roast marshmallows

I'm still not convinced the Dems are the answer. As simple as this is, they still won't do what needs to be done. And Bush will walk away in 09 from this mess with a $400K/yr pension. And then a ways down the road, we'll have something like this again, only probably worse still.

Interesting excerpt fromt the article:
"...BuzzFlash: But then we have Cheney.

Justin A. Frank, M.D.: The way the Republicans did it in ’73 was, they got rid of Agnew first, and they made sure that the person who would be the Vice President would be somebody who would be acceptable to both sides of the aisle. Maybe they should threaten to impeach Cheney first or something, and make Bush appoint somebody else. I’d rather have Cheney than Bush.

BuzzFlash: Why is that? Many people would disagree with you.

Justin A. Frank, M.D.: A lot of people would disagree with me. I really think that Bush is not competent to be President. He is unconsciously destructive. He is out of touch with his cruelty. He is unable to think clearly when presented with new information. He cannot do it. He cannot read. He cannot pay attention to the Baker-Hamilton Report. He never looked at that report. He looked at the opening title, about a new way forward or something, and that’s what he’s been using as his slogan now. He is not able to process information.

I think Cheney, as much as he is malevolent and destructive and greedy and self-interested as an oil executive and wants absolute power, he’s out front about it. I think that he would have to negotiate in a way that’s different because he can’t not think, whereas Bush doesn’t think.

BuzzFlash: It would certainly bring Cheney out of the shadows and make him accountable. Is that what you’re saying?

Justin A. Frank, M.D.: Yes...."

Besides. Impeaching Bush would finish any future plans for any other Bushes wanting to be president.

If the Congress had impeached Reagan and Bush 41 over the S&L scandal and the Iran-Contra scandal like they should have, Bush 43 wouldn't have happened.

They didn't and it did. A lesson not learned.

The irony is that this was fairly close (6 yrs) after Nixon & Watergate, which says people can't be trusted to remember what Republicans stand for.

Cheney is already running the government. Always has been.
